Your Role
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are seeking a Solution Architect to work within our Information Systems Directorate supporting our ongoing technology transformation. In this role you will play a key part designing the technical solutions which support some of our major programmes of work, delivering the technology which underpin transport across the region. Specifically, this role will focus on shaping the early solution options for new projects being worked on by the team.

You'll be a solution architect with past experience of developing technical solutions within a complex business environment. Other key skills and experience include:

Broad technical experience across a range of technologies.

Familiarity with developments within the wider technology industry.

The ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with and influence a range of different stakeholders both technical on non-technical.

Experience of working with and assuring the work of 3rd party suppliers.

Familiarity with architectural governance models.

Past experience of the transport and public sectors would be useful but are not essential.
What we can offer you
This is a permanent role with a salary of £63,799 - £69,126 per annum, salary will be based upon skills and experience. (Salary is made up of Basic salary £46,249 -£51,576 plus Market Factor Supplement of £17,550 which will be reviewed annually)
